Cure2Children at the American Society of Hematology’s Annual Meeting & Expo

This December the American Society of Hematology (ASH) held its 55th Annual Meeting and Exposition in Los Angeles during December 07-09, 2013. This meeting is considered to be the most important hematology meeting globally.

Cure2Children made a presentation on “Infectious Complications In 96 Matched-Related Bone Marrow Transplants Performed Without Positive Pressure Room Or Centralized Hepa Filtration In Lower Middle Income Countries” during the meeting on December 07, 2013.

Cure2Children’s presentation stressed that competitive results and success rates can be achieved even in low-resource setting seeking to cure children with thalassemia through bone marrow transplantation (BMT). Acknowledging this success is a critical step in curing more children at local transplant centers. Ours is the largest patient series performed in simplified BMT units.
