First neuroblastoma patient doing well

Our first patient with high-risk neuroblastoma is recovering from his autologous stem cell transplantation done on December 9. We are very grateful to Sankalp India Foundation and all our great staff at CIMS-Ahmedabad (India) BMT unit.
This young child's transplant was possible thanks to the capacity built with transplantation for thalassemia. C2C's vision is to capitalize on the cure of relatively common and very curable severe disorders like hamoglobinopathies (thalassemia and sickle cell disease) to cross-subsidize and sustain the care of more rare and difficult ones like high-risk neuroblastoma.
