Cure2Children’s Commitment to Combating Sickle Cell Disease in Africa

Cure2Children Foundation is deeply committed to improving the lives of children affected by sickle cell disease (SCD) across Africa. Recognizing that SCD is one of the most common and life-threatening genetic disorders on the continent, the organization focuses on providing sustainable, locally driven solutions to ensure every child has access to life- saving care. Through partnerships with local organizations and health professionals as well as DKMS- Germay and Fondazione Umberto Veronesi-Italy, Cure2Children supports early diagnosis, comprehensive management, and curative treatments such as bone marrow transplantation. The foundation prioritizes building local capacity by training African doctors, nurses, and laboratory specialists to deliver advanced care within their own communities, reducing dependence on costly overseas treatments. By combining compassion, medical expertise, and a long-term vision for health equity, the foundation empowers African healthcare systems to offer hope and healing to thousands
of children and families affected by this devastating disease. Cure2Children’s mission goes beyond treatment—it is about transforming lives and ensuring that no child in Africa suffers needlessly from a curable condition.
