Cure2Children achievements in 2025
In 2025, Cure2Children continued to make significant strides in its mission to bring accessible, high-quality pediatric oncology and hematology care to children in low- and
middle-income countries. Founded in Florence in 2007, the organization has long focused on strengthening local healthcare systems by training medical staff, establishing treatment programs, and supporting sustainable care models directly in children’s home countries. This year, Cure2Children reinforced its pivotal role in global pediatric healthcare through several key achievements. The Foundation’s “Second Opinion” initiative remained a cornerstone of support in 2025, providing families and clinicians with rapid access to expert oncology and hematology consultations. Backed by local partners, this platform helped reduce the need for long patient travel, lowering costs and improving timely decision-making for complex cases. Overall it actively promoted the cure of 275 children (they were 188 in 2024) in India, Pakistan, Vietnam and Uzbekistan. It also facilitated supportive care for children with sickle cell disease in Cameroon, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda. Scientific engagement also marked 2025. Cure2Children’s commitment to peer-reviewed research and knowledge sharing persisted, with expert contributions and open access publications advancing understanding of prevention and treatment delivery in resource- limited settings.
